My personal butler, Jijo, who had been with the company for 17 years before the reboot, treated me like royalty, attending to my every need from unpacking my suitcase to surprising me with afternoon iced tea.

What struck me most was the sense of community among passengers and crew alike. Many guests had sailed on Crystal Serenity multiple times, and it felt like a family reunion rather than a first-time experience. Glenn, a seasoned cruiser who has been on over 130 Crystal cruises, regaled me with stories of his paddle tennis tournaments alongside the crew.

As the ship set sail from Corsica to Barcelona, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to experience this luxurious rebirth.
